OUR AMBASADOR - BIM AFOLAMI

BIM AFOLAMI (AMBASADOR)

"In my lifetime, I have seen the benefits of partnerships and the need to care for those in need. As a Love146 Ambassador, I see the crucial, innovative work Love146 do themselves, and in collaboration with others, to protect those whose childhoods are lost to traffickers, and people who wish to exploit and harm them, and I am proud to lend my support. It really gives these children and young people affected a new start in life."

Our Ambassador, Bim Afolami, is a Member of Parliament for Hitchin and Harpenden since 2017. Despite being one of the youngest Members of Parliament, he has already had a varied business career in the City advising some of the biggest companies in the world, both British and international – first as a corporate lawyer and then for HSBC. Raised by parents who worked in the NHS, he is passionate about improving equality and opportunity for all, and as a Love146 Ambassador promotes our work in supporting children and young people who have been trafficked and exploited. Bim has also been a primary school governor and has volunteered for charities that focus on helping people return to work. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a member of the Ditchley Foundation.
