Christmas can be a tough time for many people, and if we have learned anything from recent global events, it is the importance of family, friends and connections. That’s why for this year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge we are focusing on ensuring that we can give what we can to the child trafficking survivors we work with, and help them head into 2022 with hope and optimism. Something we think everyone can relate to at the moment.
This is a positive time. It is a time when we can really try and enjoy ourselves. It is a time filled with joy and laughter. It is a time when we need your support though to ensure that we can help child trafficking survivors get all of that as well.
The Big Give offers a great opportunity to do that. From 12pm on November 30th to 12pm December 7th any donations made (up to a total of £4,000) through the campaign website will be match funded by our “Champion’s Pot”. Put simply, for every pound you donate, Love146 UK will receive £2. It is a fantastic opportunity to double your donation and double its impact in the lives of young trafficking survivors
We need your help though. If we don’t receive donations we don’t receive anything from the match funding pot. We have set ourselves an ambitious goal of £8,000 this year, but it is one we know we can reach,. That’s £4,000 of donations made during the giving week matched by £4,000 from our champion donors IBEM and The Childhood Trust.
On achieving our target, the money raised will go towards Christmas gift boxes for up to 30 young survivors, Wi-Fi connectivity for 6 young survivors and Christmas get togethers for 6 young survivors with food to suit cultural and individual requirements, among other things.
We know it has been a tough time for many people over the last 18 months, and we only ask that you donate if you feel able to. Every donation will make a difference.
From everyone at Love146 UK, thank you in advance for your support.
